Australian Born
I grew up on 52,000 acre sheep station in south western Queensland,
400 miles inland from the coast. (Not remote enough to be called
"the outback" but remote enough to be called "the bush").
We were fourteen
miles from the nearest neighbor and 39 miles from the nearest town, a
tiny little one-horse place called Dirranbandi (an Australian
aboriginal name).
